Get 'Em While They're Hot!
Last week Marist held it's first ever Wing Night before Women's Basketball took on the University of Kentucky on Friday night. The Red Foxes were hungry for a win against the Kentucky Wildcats, but its fans sure were full. Although Marist had a tough loss, students found some southern comfort from the blazin' bottomless wings from the main dining hall. For one meal swipe, wings were offered all night with options of classic buffalo and extra hot with blue cheese dressing to cool it all off. To complete the ultimate feast, Mac and Cheese was served on the side, with celery sticks (because something had to be of some nutritional value). Lines were already out the door at 4:30 when dinner started, and the dining hall stayed packed throughout the evening. Mostly present were athletes, and guys, but a good amount of girls came by for their wing fix as well. I can't count how many "This is awesome"s I heard throughout the entire time, and the positive feedback was truly sensational. Hopefully, Friday Wing Night can become a staple in the Marist dining menu. From the looks of it, I think we'll be seeing another one...being that there are any chickens left to eat!
